Comedy routine

Last night I was knitting furiously on the couch, trying to get the beyond gigantic christmas stocking (to be felted) finished so that I could move on to other projects:
Me: (knit knit knit knit knit…notices that I dropped a stitch) aw crap!
The Boy: (concerned) What? What happened?
Me: Nothing. I was knitting too fast and I dropped a damn stitch (finds crochet hook, picks up stitch, continues on)
The Boy: (heavy sigh) Do I have to watch you every minute?
Me: No. You do not. But I wish you would hurry up and learn to knit. I need some help if I’m going to get any of this finished…
The Boy: Oh no. I’m much better suited to telling you what to do.
Me: (not looking up) what?
The Boy: (innocently) Huh?
Funny. And quick. Your boy has it all! Did you take time out to smack him, or just keep knitting?
Ho ho ho. Good luck with the felting!
Hehehehe!
Hah!
