No NaBloPoMo
November 1st, 2006 by Wen
Sorry, but there’s not a lot of knitting posting to be had here. I’m still working on the Irish Hiking Scarf and my parents were in town this last weekend. I’m almost done with the scarf, but no photos until it’s in the hands of the recipient.
I’m not almost done with the parents. They’re in Orange County for the rest of the week and I have to go to my cousins house in Yorba Linda on Saturday at 2 for some sort of potluck. I ask you- who has a potluck at 2 in the afternoon? That effectively screws the entire day.
The scarf kind of a slow and boring knit too. But it looks pretty, so I’ll likely make another one for the boy since he saw it and gushed (not kidding) over the cables. I think there was an attempt on his part to get me to knit him a “cable knit sweater” but I couldn’t hear him very well because I was laughing so hard. A whole sweater out of cables? I lose my mind all the time, but I’ll look for his while I’m at it.
The NaBloPoMo? Can’t do it. I’ll just get all petulant and lazy and then I’ll blame my blog(s) and I’ll never post anywhere. Nah. But you go ahead.
I may go to this. It’s in Torrance on Sunday. One day, not far. Anybody interested in going with?
Dude, I totally live in Torrance. If I had kept up with trying to freaking learn to knit (I got very frustrated and put it away, and we’re still not talking), I might go myself. Though it could have the opposite effect and spark my interest again in all things yarn-y.
Hahahaha… I just saw you had a category called “dorkery”, and I thought it said “donkey”, and I thought, what the fuck is Wen doing with donkeys?
Hi,
I’ve just started reading your blog and I really enjoy it.
I have recently moved to the OC and I was wondering if you know of any local SNB’s?
I live in Huntington Beach and am a fairly new crochet-er. Always looking for an excuse to drink wine and knit!
Thanks,
Tami
